A Message to the Membership Chairman

Membership is the heart of the PTA. Members makes it possible for PTA to carry out its mission on behalf of children and youth in your PTA, state and nation. As membership Chair, you are given the task of both maintaining and increasing membership in your PTA. PTA relies on you to build a strong TEAM of individuals that support the mission and purposes of the North Carolina State PTA and National PTA.  In addition to recruiting parents, teachers, other school staff, community members, and students, each PTA should make a year-round effort to involve and recruit new members; including all members of the community who share the goals of the PTA. PTA membership is open to anyone who supports the mission and purposes of the PTA.

PTA Vision — Making every child's potential a reality.

PTA Mission - The Mission of National and North Carolina PTA is three-fold:

As Membership Chairman, we encourage you to accept the challenge to INCREASE YOUR UNIT’S MEMBERSHIP BY AT LEAST 12% over last year.

Thank you for your dedication and efforts to build PTA membership that will strengthen our voice of advocacy for children and youth. Please let us know when we can be of assistance to you or your PTA unit.
