North Carolina PTA Outstanding Unit Award

In April 2001, the North Carolina PTA Board of Directors established the Outstanding Unit Award. The goal of this award is to recognize a local unit that has promoted the Mission of the PTA and demonstrated a commitment to the Values of the PTA through its programs and projects.

The recipient will receive an award at the NCPTA Parent Education Conference and a $1,000 cash scholarship to attend the current year's National PTA Convention.

To be eligible for this award, you must apply online by March 1. In your online application you will need to provide the following:

• Your name and email address
• Name of your PTA
• Essay questions addressing the following:
  • Describe how your PTA demonstrated a commitment to the Values of the PTA through its programs and projects for this year.
  • Describe how your PTA promoted the Mission of the PTA.
  • Program/Project Evaluation: How did you evaluate your program/project?
  • Program/Project Impact: Describe the impact your program/project had within your school community and local unit.
