What is Capwiz?
CapWiz online advocacy solution helps achieve legislative success by influencing
state and federal policymakers. North Carolina PTA offers this free service to all its
members. Just visit www.ncpta.org and select “Take Action!” from the Advocacy
menu button to start exploring Capwiz.
CapWiz will help your voice be heard when it matters most and can help educate PTA
members on current legislative bills affecting education. Some key features of Capwiz
are:
- View your State elected officials (Governor, Senators, House of Representatives)
along with their pictures by entering your zip code. Easily compose and send an
email to them.
- Send an email to any newspaper, television station, or radio station in North
Carolina to publicize a press release or other events at your school.
- Know who you are voting for in the upcoming election! Capwiz provides a list of all
Congressional, State Legislature, and Statewide candidates along with their picture, profile, contact info, and position statements.
- Learn about legislative bills affecting children and education. Use Capwiz to guide
you through writing a personalized email to the correct representatives and help
advocate for our children.
